first verse:
"let me take advantage of the proper platform
6th day of August 1949, a queen was born.

to a mother and father, lost her mother at a young age
set stage for a step-mother, she was raised

as second oldest, as she matured the family expanded
dozen siblings, lost a bit, attention she commanded

met too often with negativity, encouragement rarely existed
she graduated high school, in the air force she enlisted

soon after, had her first child, she wanted him to herself, so she became distant
to some that seemed wild

she packed and relocated to California, a Texas girl
became a woman in a different world

she moved in with distant relatives, relationship was building
she would find love again in two other children.

Shortly after, she returned to the lone star state
Family would be raised in Tx, I guess it was fate

I was her first born, so what am I supposed to do
music is my life mama, remember when i told you


besides, she's my very first and my biggest fan
was there when I rocked my first talent show jam

because what words sum up a mothers love from her first kid?

My grandparents passed before I had the chance to tell them

Now I stand here a grown man married with my own kids
Benefiting in my life because of things you did

Everything I did you supported me through it

at times you played the role of mama and dad
